so long long ago i promised that some day maybe you could hear me and Mr. D's "story"
so here it is!!!
It was the spring of 2007...we were both seniors in high school.
I had been sick all week and had not attended school.
Some how i connived my mom to let me go out for the night just to hang out with a friend.
So i arrived at my friends house and she decided we were going to get dressed up and go out.
Now if you knew me in high school dressing up was not at all in my comfort zone.
So Sarah (my friend) took control, dressing me in her clothes and doing my make up. (ha for real!)
She said we were meeting up with some boys!
Weird.
So we picked up these boys and ended up just driving around all night.
I sat in the front seat apparently complaining all night that i was cold and didn't feel good. (this is what Mr. D. claims at least)
I only remember stopping at wal mart where they bought gatorade and we stared at the video games for an extended period of time.
I think that night i looked at Mr D once.
So weeks later I was trying to find a prom date.
I told Sarah I needed one and she said maybe we could convince Mr D to go with me.
I was hesitant since I didn't say a single word to him the one night i saw him
I later learned that he was going on the New Orleans mission trip that me and Sarah were going on over spring break.
I didn't think to much of it.
The trip came and I still payed no attention to Mr D almost the whole week.
Until one of the last days there, where i was forced to work inside a home due to the severe sun burns I had gotten.

So the work began at the new work site and it just so happened this is where Mr D was working as well. At this point I figured what did i have to loose. So i showed a little interest in him.

So that was one of our last days in New orleans. we soon headed home.
Some how the topic of prom came up on the bus ride home, and sarah got it out of Mr. D that he didn't have a date. He said he would go with me if i went with him.
Deal!
not another word was spoken about prom
Somehow after that I ended up sitting on his lap the entire way home (approx 12 hours)
We talked and he slept.

so after 12ish hours we arrived home. as we were sitting in the parking lot getting ready to exit the bus i said we should probably take a picture together...

we got off the bus and went our separate ways.
We didn't exchange phone numbers so I am not 100% sure how we planned to meet up for prom!!
the day after we got home i texted one of his friends asking for Mr D.s number....he suggested that i just go to mr Ds house.
So eric came and picked me up and we went out to Mr Ds.
I remember he was out cutting trees in the timber
That is all i remember from that day.
later eric finally gave me Mr Ds number and we started texting!
I asked him if he would go to an event with me, I am not sure he knew what he was getting him self into, but he agreed
so later that week we went to Sarah's (yes the one who suggested we go to prom together) tulip court performance, we then went out to eat and later watched a movie at his house
the rest is history.
since high school was still going on we texted almost all the time and saw each other usually on the weekends (we didn't attend the same high school)
although he did convince me to skip school and go nap at his house and watch cash cab, so i did ;)
we did end up going to each others proms. (we both look back at that now and think how stupid going to 2 proms was)

from there on out we were pretty well inseparable.
that summer was spent going to his baseball games, eating pizza in his basement, and watching movies til all hours of the night
that summer I made a list of things that we had to do, so we also spent the summer accomplishing things on that list, and taking pictures of everything!

#5) visit PCM baseball field ....this was because when he had a baseball game there, there was a little bird that I became friends with and i wanted to see if he was still there!

#6)Go to toledo... apparently i thought toledo was awesome or something. HA we ended up playing on a play ground
#7) watch the notebook
he ended up hating this movie. probably because we didn't start watching until 3 am
once fall came i moved to Kansas City for college and he moved to centerville iowa for college.
we talked everyday, and somehow i knew we would stay together
we visited each other as often as possible.
once summer finally came again we both had full time summer jobs and we spent the evenings together
he had dropped out of his college after deciding not to play baseball, and ended up moving to Kansas city to be closer to me!
So my sophomore year was spent with him much closer ;)
after sophomore year i spent the summer in Rwanda Africa.
We had already talked about getting married and as i joke we said we would get married May 22, 2010!
Junior year started and things were good.
I managed to convince him to look at engagement rings together
a couple weeks later we got engaged!! and i got the best ring ever

we started wedding plans, and without even thinking told people we were getting married may 22!
and we did :)
